Custom Photography Experience
What custom photography ultimately is all about is choice and experience (as in THE experience). Custom photography is about finding someone who will photograph you and your family, give you devoted 1:1 attention without worry about the next ‘in line’ or the feeling of a crowded portrait studio.
Come on in and meet us! This is the time to come in before your session and meet the photographer and so we can get to know each other. I will ask you a few questions to get to know you a bit and encourage you to do the same. We will look at sample images and discuss the vision we have for your portraits. Discussing outfits, props, backgrounds, getting a feel for creating the images that you will cherish for a lifetime.
Preparation is key to a successful and smooth portrait session, this is not to say that we will not have spontaneous moments during our shoot but that we use the time to the best advantage, making sure we get the images you will cherish and be proud to display in your home.
At this time we will book your portrait session date and a non-refundable retainer will be required to hold your date.
Most sessions are in studio so no matter the weather outside its always cofortable and fun. Loaded with props, outfits and backgrounds your session will be about an hour to an hour and half of fun with no limits on the changes. With your favorite music and refreshments provided our aim is to again keep your session fun and relaxed. Being a private studio, and only scheduling a couple sessions a day, you have no worries of the next client coming in or mall walkers peeking in. Our goal is to be sure we create what we planned for in our design appointment but we also our on our toes for spontaneous moments as well.
Our location sessions are typically planned for the golden hour just before sunset at one of our favorite beach spots or park settings so we catch the best lighting of the day. You get the same amount of time but just not the great background music.
This is where all the hard work pays off. You have two methods to choose from for your ordering.
The preferred method is to schedule your ordering session in studio 1-2 weeks after your session where we will show you a selection of 20-40 images from your session on our large screen monitor. This will include some of our artist picks, completely touched up and with a selection of special effects. This presentation may also include a couple frame collections that we would recommend. With our special presentation software we are also able to show you your images at the actual sizes you choose as well as framed. The biggest feature with this software is when you bring in a photo of the wall spaces you have in mind for your wall collections, we can view the portraits right on your wall.
For those that feel that they cant make an in studio ordering session we do offer online gallery. For the online gallery we do require a $300 deposit to be placed at the end of your portrait session, all of which becomes print credit towards you order, you will then receive a pass code to access your gallery in next couple days after your session. This would also apply if at your in studio ordering session you are unable to place an order and want to take more time to decide at home.
